Happy New Year, friends! Today I am sharing my second vision board with you. Last year I made my first one on PicMonkey and shared why you should create one — You can read all about it here! Every year, I’ve decided to make one and share it with you. It’s such a fun and beneficial project to do and the best thing is that when you look back, you see how much have changed. This year, I opted for a digital version again so that I can easily refer to it on my phone or laptop. You can even make your vision board a screensaver, which is what I am doing this year. I am using Canva to create my vision board and setting the dimensions to 1200 x 800.
The older you become, the more you realize how fast a year goes by and how much time we waste by not having any goals or direction. When you create a yearly vision board, you are setting clear goals and expectations that can help you stay on track.
The best thing about vision boards is that they are unique to who you are and what you desire in life. No two vision boards will ever be the same for anyone — and they shouldn’t be. Next, do not fall into the hype that you need to create one every January of each year. You can start it anytime that you feel motivated. Last year, I made mine in March and this year, it’s the last day of January.
What's on my 2021 VISION BOARD
OUR WEDDING
This July will be 11 years together with my fiance. So many things have changed from when I got engaged in October 2018. Our wedding was unfortunately postponed because of the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic. We’ve rescheduled it to June 2021 and now hoping for the best. Many rules and regulations for everything are constantly changing. So the feeling of uncertainty sucks. I’ve picked back up wedding planning, and it gave me an opportunity to be much more organized than before and on top of things, which is my overall goal.
HEALTHY LIVING
A continuous goal that improves with time. Tik Tok has become so popular last year during the pandemic. It’s fun learning every and anything in a short one minute video, even how to make healthy meals. It really helped with wanting to actually cook often. We’ve minimized ordering take-out meals and continue to do so. Another component of healthy living is exercising consistently. I’ve struggled with this so I will try to make it fun whether it’s by wearing cute outfits, sharing stories, and having an accountability partner. Another goal is to become a morning person where I can get working out done, have “me” time, and set the tone for the rest of the day.
TRAVEL + PHOTOGRAPHY
I want to visit everywhere! We just came back from one of our DREAM trips from the Islands of Hawaii. Holy cow — what a dream that was! We visited three islands — they were all beautiful in their own ways and very different. I am still thinking of our honeymoon destination and other vacations that I want to plan out for us. For our honeymoon, we are thinking of Maldives, Greece, Italy or Bali. It may not happen this year, but it will happen. I enjoy going on crazy adventures making memories that will last a lifetime– and of course taking tons of pictures. Speaking of photos, I’d like to get better with photography and purchase my first professional camera.
BLOGGING + CREATIVITY
Again, I always want to make new content and share things that are meaningful to me and that will potentially benefit someone else. Last year, I wanted to try out sharing more fashion, which was definitely a hit. I’ve grown my Instagram audience by thousands which are amazing. Thank you to everyone who continues to support my blog! There are so many content ideas I’ve listed that I want to try, so my goal is to get that going this year and be a bit more consistent with posting and sharing more of my life with you guys.
LEARNING + OTHER
My goal this year is to read one book a month and listen to more podcasts. I’ve also been working on something that I am not yet ready to share but when I do, it’s going to be awesome! So stay tuned 🙂
I LOVE your vision board! It’s so inspiring and I love having your goals and expectations for the year on a visual so you can reflect back when you need that push of motivation!
I really love your website, not just your writing style but the entire layout….it looks very pretty. I share the same thoughts about the pandemic – the uncertainty and anxiousness. On a more positive note hope 2021 brings things back to normalcy. Best wishes!!
Sounds like you’re gonna have a great year! And I love the colours of the board! 🙂 I’m just trying to hustle this year, so I have very few other goals than work.
