What's on my 2021 Vision Board and why you should create one

Vision+Board+2021+(1).jpg

Hi, friends! I am sharing my second vision board with you. Every year, I’ve decided to make one and share it with you. It’s such a fun and beneficial project to do. This year, I opted for a digital version again so that I can easily refer to it on my phone or laptop. You can make your vision board a screensaver, which is what I am doing this year. I am using Canva.com to create my vision board and set the dimensions to 1200 x 800. You can save pictures, quotes, and anything that resonates with you.

The older you become, the more you realize how quickly a year goes by and how much time we waste by not having any goals or direction. When you create a yearly vision board, you are setting clear goals and expectations that can help you stay on track.

The best thing about vision boards is that they are unique to who you are and what you desire in life. No two vision boards will ever be the same for anyone — and they shouldn’t be. Next, do not fall into the hype that you need to create one every January of each year. You can start it anytime that you feel motivated. Last year, I made mine in March, and this year, it's the last day of January.

WHAT'S ON MY 2021 VISION BOARD

OUR WEDDING

This July will be 11 years together with my fiance. So many things have changed from when I got engaged in October 2018. Our wedding was unfortunately postponed because of the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic. We’ve rescheduled it to June 2021 and now hoping for the best. Many rules and regulations for everything are constantly changing. So the feeling of uncertainty sucks. I’ve picked back up wedding planning, and it gave me an opportunity to be much more organized than before and on top of things, which is my overall goal.

HEALTHY LIVING

A continuous goal that improves with time. Tik Tok has become so popular last year during the pandemic. It’s fun learning every and anything in a short one minute video, even how to make healthy meals. It really helped with wanting to actually cook often. We’ve minimized ordering take-out meals and continue to do so. Another component of healthy living is exercising consistently. I’ve struggled with this so I will try to make it fun whether it’s by wearing cute outfits, sharing stories, and having an accountability partner. Another goal is to become a morning person where I can get working out done, have “me” time, and set the tone for the rest of the day.

TRAVEL + PHOTOGRAPHY

I want to visit everywhere! We just came back from one of our DREAM trips from the Islands of Hawaii. Holy cow — what a dream that was! We visited three islands — they were all beautiful in their own ways and very different. I am still thinking of our honeymoon destination and other vacations that I want to plan out for us. For our honeymoon, we are thinking of Maldives, Greece, Italy or Bali. It may not happen this year, but it will happen. I enjoy going on crazy adventures making memories that will last a lifetime– and of course taking tons of pictures. Speaking of photos, I’d like to get better with photography and purchase my first professional camera.

BLOGGING + CREATIVITY

Again, I always want to make new content and share things that are meaningful to me and that will potentially benefit someone else. Last year, I wanted to try out sharing more fashion, which was definitely a hit. I’ve grown my Instagram audience by thousands which are amazing. Thank you to everyone who continues to support my blog! There are so many content ideas I’ve listed that I want to try, so my goal is to get that going this year and be a bit more consistent with posting and sharing more of my life with you guys.

LEARNING + OTHER

My goal this year is to read one book a month and listen to more podcasts. I’ve also been working on something that I am not yet ready to share but when I do, it’s going to be awesome! So stay tuned.
